How To Lose Weight With PCOS.

I’ll talk a little later about overcoming what I call the PCOS mindset - basically, feeling like a victim. I totally understand if you feel like it’s unfair, but it is how it is. You can sulk or you can get on with it and achieve incredible results. What will you choose?

There’s an awesome show on British TV called ‘Secret Eaters’ where in each episode they will install little cameras in the house, car, and work of two people. For a week we watch the people go about their days as the show secretly tracks how many calories the people are consuming.

Now, the two people on the show want to lose weight but for whatever reason have been struggling to do so. At the end of each episode the two people get to watch footage of themselves from throughout the week.

To give you an example, eating breakfast, grabbing a coffee and pastry on the way to work, sneaking in a biscuit at morning tea, grabbing a burger and chips for lunch, eating a chocolate bar each night while watching TV was quite the norm for the two.

They then take a guess at how many calories they believe they have been eating. I’ve seen a few of these episodes now and they usually say 1,500 - 2,000 calories a day. Quite a normal number, right?

Want to know what happens? Due to the fact they grabbed a little pastry here, a can of coke there, a chocolate here, and a large serving for dinner, they actually end up eating 3,000 to 4,000 calories a day!

That’s double the calories every day!

That’s crazy! But I tell you now, after trying this myself, even I was eating 900 calories more than I thought I was. It’s called mindless eating. All those little treats add up. If you’re only burning 1,500 calories a day but your mindlessly eating 3,000, you’re going to gain weight and you’ll have no idea why.

What I suggest you do for just for one day, is to keep a food journal and see how many calories you are eating throughout the course of a normal day and see if it’s inline with what you think you are eating. The results may just shock you.
